SpineAlign's Bi-Annual Scholarship Application

Here at SpineAlign®, we firmly believe in the value of education and giving back to the community. Our college education and experiences have helped us achieve our personal and professional goals and dreams.  And it is our hope and desire to help students achieve their goals and dreams, while also educating the community about the value of sleep and how it contributes to a person’s overall health.

Scholarship Amounts & Awards

Applicants may enter for the opportunity to be awarded (1) one of two scholarships:

  • 1st Place winner will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship*
  • 2nd Place winner will be awarded a $500 scholarship*

*Awarded scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books only. Once awarded, a check will be written to the recipient’s school of choice and credited for academic costs.

  • Additionally, we strongly believe that a good night’s sleep has great influence upon a person’s health and helping support the demands of pursing one’s college education that each scholarship winner will also be awarded 1 (one) - DR. LOTH'S SPINEALIGN® PILLOW at no charge (including free shipping).  Repeat scholarship winners will be awarded only 1 (one) DR. LOTH'S SPINEALIGN® PILLOW, during their lifetime.  

    The current deadline for entry is March 31, 2019, 11:59 pm MST.

    *If you cannot find SpineAlign's Scholarship listed on your university or college’s financial aid website, please ask the financial aid office to list our scholarship and send us an e-mail at scholarship@spinealign.com.

    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must be:
    • U.S. citizens currently residing within the United States
    • Currently enrolled or accepted at an accredited college, university or U.S. post-secondary institution
    • Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA currently

    How to Apply

    Submit an essay that is a minimum 500 words, educating the community about one of the following topics of your choice:
    •  How does sleep posture positively and/or negatively effect one's spine health?

    • What factors most positively and/or negatively affect one's sleep?

    • Assess the quality of your own sleep health and discuss some ways that you can improve it.
    Submission instructions:
    • Please include the following information, with your application:
      • First/Last Name & (email) contact information
      • Current (or future) degree program and school year
      • Name of the accredited college/university you plan to or are already attending
      • Recent transcript referencing your cumulative 3.0 GPA
    • Please email your essay in either a PDF or Word document.

      Frequently Asked Questions

      When is the application deadline?

      The current deadline for entry is March 31, 2019, 11:59 pm MST.

      How is a winner determined?

      Applications will be reviewed by the SpineAlign® Scholarship Committee and will choose the winning submissions for each entry period.

      When will the winner be selected? How will they be notified?

      Winners will be selected on April 15, 2019. SpineAlign® will inform the winners by email, within one month of the application deadline

      Please make sure to include your contact information. In the event that a winner does not respond within 72 hours of the initial contact attempt, a new winner(s) will be selected.

      When will the scholarship funds be available?

      The first scholarship funds for 2019 will be available by May 1st, 2019.

      How can the scholarship be used?

      Awarded scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books only at an accredited university or college. Once awarded, a check will be written to the recipient’s school of choice and credited for academic costs.

      Is this scholarship renewable?

      No, they are single semester scholarships. New scholarships will be available bi-annually.  Participants may re-apply for each new scholarship.

      Note: Scholarship winners (of any value) are ineligible to be awarded another scholarship within the same year or within consecutive semesters.  Repeat scholarship winners will be awarded only 1 (one) DR. LOTH'S SPINEALIGN® PILLOW, during their lifetime.

      Additionally, previous winners are ineligible to submit the same scholarship winning essay for future scholarship applications.    

      What about eligibility verification?

      Before collecting the scholarship award, both winners will be required to verify their school status, GPA, and other eligibility requirements.

      Can I mail in a paper application?

      No, paper applications will not be accepted. Please follow the electronic submission instructions.
